Bianca Sánchez Álvarez

I was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in the metropolitan area. I discovered a love for art at a young age, as you can tell from this picture I drew a long time ago. I think I always wanted to be an artist because my mom is one, her passions being architecture, interior design, oil painting, and fashion design. My dad is not only a storyteller, but someone who helps people tell theirs. Combined, my parents instilled in me a love for learning and nurturing curiosity through books, museums, road trips, connecting with people and learning about their stories. This portfolio is a way to tell you mine.

Playful and Moody Over-exposure

A few surprises found at the bottom of my photo stacks. I thought that the grainy, dark texture gave some photos a creepy vibe which I liked. An amateur move, but I had exposed my film in opening its case when I shouldn't have, resulting in the reddish light leaks in some other photos. I learned my lesson, however here are my favorite mistakes.
