I was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in the metropolitan area. I discovered a love for art at a young age, as you can tell from this picture I drew a long time ago. I think I always wanted to be an artist because my mom is one, her passions being architecture, interior design, oil painting, and fashion design. My dad is not only a storyteller, but someone who helps people tell theirs. Combined, my parents instilled in me a love for learning and nurturing curiosity through books, museums, road trips, connecting with people and learning about their stories.
